Rangers sign Bryz to league minimum? You know it was the Philly curse that got him, I'm sure if given another chance he'll be fine

Interesting idea, but do you want that kind of circus given the big top atmosphere already in NY with this team?

No, just sign some AHL goalie to replace Talbot and bring Cam up to the big club.

The lineup still looks like garbage but better than what we have seen in the last eight periods.

I am surprised Asham got waived; was hoping Pyatt would be the one packing his bags.

Anything is better than what Biron has looked like lately.

I don't like waiving of Asham, would have rather waived Pyatt. This team gets easier and easier to play against by the day.

Theodore is still out there i think, could be a serviceable back up option? Wouldn't mind Bryz either

I am not suprised with waiving Biron. He just looked uninterested in playing and played a piss-poor game. The goalie that played in St. Louis and San Jose was athe different guy that played in Philly during the preseason.

No idea why Asham was waived.

I'm actually 110% okay with this. He is a product of the Allaire system and I think Beniot would do great with him.

Asham was waived because he has a large possibility of being picked up so his cap his is completely gone. he played great in the preseason and i thought he was honestly our best player at times. (Yes i know he was waived before the season but i think he proved himself in preseason, i know he did for me)

Biron getting waved is strictly his play. Like Jan noted, they had questions of him being a capable backup and if they are honestly concerned about Hank walking (he will be traded at the deadline if rangers are in the bottom 6 and does not look to be resigning.. mark my words) so this is now the time to test Talbot, as well as Sather's attempt at gaining some leverage with hank saying look, we got others waiting...

Per Bob McKenzie, Talbot to be promoted

That is good. Biron may very well get claimed as Dallas needs a goalie.

I expect Asham to play Wednesday. He will probably get waived on a monthly basis all season.

Ya know, everyone talks & talks about how fighting is not important anymore in hockey, but I still see a need & if Asham is claimed, that leaves us with Dorsett who is horrible as our only real "threat". Avery was a better fighter than Dorsett, guy gets his clock cleaned in almost every scrap he's in & is just a putrid hockey player in general where Asham provides more. What will happen when we roll into Boston?

Not that it wasn't deserved, but aren't the two that got wavied merely sacrificial lambs towards the greater problem overall with the way the entire team has been playing?

Kind of, Biron has been BAD. Seems almost like he doesn't care. He had personnal issues in camp & missed some time, something is def happening with him. Head is not there.

I agree...something is wrong with Biron. He just played like his crease was all slush and his movements were a good second or more late. He just doesn't seem to want to be on the ice.

Honestly, if this is what we knew we were gonna get with him, we should have just kept Hedberg as the backup or just kept Talbot with the big club.

If something serious is up with Biron, I do feel for him, but we don't know whats up & if he suits up, he's expected to be a professional & show up.

i know biron getting waived is due to his recent play, but part of me can't help but wonder if they did t his because they want to see what they have in talbot. then, i start jumping to conclusions about lundqvist's days being numbered and it bums me out. little surprised by the asham move, but oh well. i doubt the that the current state of the rangers can be blamed on aaron asham.

Always kind of a fan of Ashams. I really thought the would keep him around because he fits that role pretty good. Rangers getting ready to make a move? Oh God this could go horribly wrong.
